This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. When registering on our service, you may be asked to enter your email address. We do not store your passwords in plain text. How do we protect your information?
We use the best practice in software development and we host our backend at Amazon Web Services - they perform automatic malicious scans and security updates for underlying software and hardware environment. We use protected database-as-a-service on AWS too. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All payment transactions are processed through a gateway provider (Stripe) and are not stored or processed on our servers.Do we use "cookies"?
Yes, implicitly for Google Analytics and for "remembering" you at our extension and website. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old. EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Participation
Intelligent Speaker complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of Personal Data transferred from the EU to the United States
If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern with respect to all Personal Data transferred from the EU to the U.S. As further set forth in the Privacy Shield Principles, we remain potentially liable if a third party processing Personal Data received from the EU on our behalf processes that Personal Data in a manner that is inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles (unless we can prove that we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage). DATA RETENTION

- Rectification: If you believe that any Personal Data we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that we correct or supplement such data.
- Erasure: You can request that we erase some or all of your Personal Data from our systems. Please note that if you request the deletion of information required to provide the Service to you, your User Account will be deactivated and you will lose access to the Service.

CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT
You may close an account, and upon termination of your User Account, we will take reasonable steps to provide, modify, or delete your Personal Data as soon as is practicable. However, Intelligent Speaker the business interests of Intelligent Speaker, Intelligent Speaker Affiliates, vendors, and other users, and some information may remain in archived/backup copies for our records or as otherwise required by law. Those interests include without limitation the completion of transactions, maintaining records for financial reporting purposes, complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

CHILDREN
Intelligent Speaker does not knowingly acquire or receive Personal Data from children under the age of 13 (16 in the EU).
